The Siren Awards honor transgender individuals, organizations and allies. The 11th annual Siren Awards will be held on Saturday, June 5 at 7 p.m. at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Village at Ed Gould Plaza during Trans-Unity Pride. Nominate someone, or an organization, in one of the following categories:

Spirit (Youth) Award Recognizes a youth (age 14-24) who has volunteered his or her time for the betterment of youth in the trans community; who has been instrumental in making sure that events, activities, and programs for LGBT youth are diverse, creative, artistic, educational, and productive; and who shows potential of becoming a future community leader.
Candidate must:
- Be 14-24 years old
- Be involved with a trans community group or program
Excellence (Agency) Award Recognizes a community-based organization or group that exemplifies non-discriminatory support (financial and otherwise) to the trans community by supporting and providing transgender-friendly and -sensitive services.
Candidate must:
- Be acknowledged and supported by the trans community
- Be involved in trans-related issues
- Be an organization that supports the trans community in some way
Image (Media) Award Recognizes someone who works with the media to promote both positive images and the awareness of trans issues.
Candidate must:
- Be involved in media work as a writer, reporter, anchorperson, photographer, etc.
The Pride Award Recognizes a transgender person who speaks on behalf of the community; who participates in trans-related events, advocacy or volunteering; and who has a high level of involvement and visibility in several areas within the trans community.

The Icon Award Recognizes a transgender person who has established himself or herself as a true supporter; who is an inspiration to the trans community; who has contributed endless hours to community advocacy issues; and who is a positive influence for youth and adults alike.
Candidate must:

Have four years of community advocacy experience

Be a community organizer who finds new ways to create awareness of trans issues and concerns

Participate on several levels of advocacy (planning boards, events, policy, etc.)

Illustrate great confidence
The Trailblazer Award Recognizes a transgener person who: illustrates outstanding commitment and dedication; who creates and implements new opportunities for the trans community; and who exhibits great leadership, vision, and the ability to speak and act on behalf of the transgender community at large.
Candidate must:
