LOCATION The Village at Ed Gould Plaza

INSTRUCTOR Richard Steel

FORMAT 6-Week Course

REQUIRED MATERIALS None

This intensive workshop will teach you how to use creative tools and exercises that will help you master the craft of writing for the stage. Workshop includes opportunities for discussions of each participant's work-in-progress as well as opportunities to hear your work read out loud.

You’ll learn about structure, character development, dramatic intention, conflict, motive, climax and resolution. Each writer will get to hear his or her work read in class several times, allowing the playwright and class to experience the play's active development.

This course is perfect for all writers, regardless of experience, genre or capabilities since each student will work on their own project in their own pace.
