STUDENT AGREEMENT
All Student's Must Accept and Adhere to These Terms & Conditions
ONLINE-REGISTRATION All online registrants will be charged prices that are less than the regular advertised price in order to absorb all required service charges and processing fees. Online enrollment is available until 5:00 p.m. the day before the course is scheduled begin (unless specified otherwise). After that date/time, the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and Learning Curve reserve the right to close all enrollment or may continue to enroll additional student's by phone or in-person via The Village Ticket Booth.
AT-THE-DOOR or PHONE REGISTRATION Enrollees who wish to enroll in any Learning Curve class by phone or in-person at The Village Ticket Booth must do so before 5 p.m. the day before the class is scheduled to begin or by the advertised enrollment deadline. Discounts are only available by enrolling at the door. Discounts may not be processed online or by phone. All other enrollees will be charged the regular advertised full enrollment price. As a general policy, Learning Curve no longer offers "Day-Of" registration. All registrants, regardless of enrollment method must enroll by the enrollment deadline posted on the corresponding class information page.
CANCELLATION POLICY ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. No credit or refund will be given if you are unable to attend an entire course in which you have enrolled. If you know you will be unable to attend an entire course in which you have enrolled, you must notify Learning Curve (323.860.7300 x3) at least 48 hours prior to the courses first session start time in order to be awarded credit for the amount you paid which may be used toward enrollment in any other Learning Curve course (subject to availability, Learning Curve Special Events, Adventure Seeker classes and any other non-Learning Curve programs are not included). Failure to do so, will result in loss of funds paid and no further action may be pursued.
MISSED COURSE MEETINGS If you miss one or more course sessions during any single session or multi-part course, you will not be refunded nor credited any portion of your registration fee for days absent. You will NOT be permitted to make up missed course sessions the next time a course is offered. If Learning Curve is forced to post-pone a scheduled session of a multi-part course due to instructor illness, unforeseen holiday conflict, scheduling error or for any other reason, the missed session will be rescheduled for another date. Learning Curve will make a best effort to schedule an additional “make-up” session will be scheduled within a reasonable period of time (i.e. within 60 days). The date and time of any “make-up” sessions will be determined by instructors recommendation based on polling all effected students and The Village space availability. If you are unable to attend the make-up session for any reason, you are not entitled to any further compensation. Learning Curve will not allow you to make up the class at a later date. Learning Curve will not refund any portion of your registration fee, nor will Learning Curve give you credit for the portion you were unable to attend.
If any Learning Curve course in which you have enrolled is subsequently cancelled for any reason by Learning Curve, you will be given the option of receiving a refund or class credit. CLASS CREDIT: may be applied toward enrollment in any future Learning Curve class (unless noted otherwise). If you paid your enrollment fee using CASH or a CHECK and opt for a refund, your refund will be paid in the full amount and will be mailed to you in the form of an LAGLC check. Refunded Checks may take as long as 90 days to be processed and received.
RESCHEDULED COURSES If a course is rescheduled due to circumstances beyond Learning Curve’s control (I.e. instructor illness, “acts of God”, etc.), your registration fee will automatically be credited toward the rescheduled course. If you are unable to attend on the new date(s), you must contact Learning Curve no less than 48 hours prior to the revised course start time in order to be awarded credit in the full amount you paid as specified in our standard cancellation policy above.
ON-LINE REFUNDS Any person who enrolls via the LAGLC Website must understand that they are actually being charged a discounted rate which is lower than the regular publicized rate. Learning Curve charges this discounted rate so that you, our client, are not charged any additional service charges. If for any reason, Learning Curve is forced to cancel said class and refund your enrollment fee, Learning Curve will refund the full amount you paid and absorb the expense of all previously paid service charges.
MARKETING Learning Curve has very limited means to market and advertise our programs. Therefore, Learning Curve has requested personal contact information that may be used to promote future Learning Curve or L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center programs. This information will not be sold, traded, shared nor disclosed to any other person, organization or entity, not affiliated with the Center, for any reason. At the end of most classes, enrollees are asked to complete a class evaluation form. Once returned, these forms and the comments written on them become the property of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center who therefore maintains the right to use quotes or any other remarks written on these forms for marketing purposes.
RECORDING POLICY Students are strictly prohibited from operating cameras, tape recorders, still and/or video cameras in all classes (unless the use of such a device is a required tool in the class in which you have enrolled. The Center's Staff and Learning Curve instructors are the sole entities who have the right to record any portion of a Learning Curve class in any of the afore mentioned manners. All student's will be informed at the beginning of each class session to be recorded and the student retains the option of leaving the class if they wish not to participate in a recorded class session. Any student who opts out of a recorded class will be moved to a future presentation of the same class. Refunds for student's who opt out of recorded classes are not available.
