Coming Out is a life-changing journey that begins when you first realize you are, or may be, lesbian or bisexual. Removing the mask and bearing your true self can be scary and confusing and the fear of telling family and friends -- or even just acknowledging it to yourself -- can be overwhelming.
To help you through this challenging period, the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center presents an ongoing workshop that is designed to help you make coming out a positive and empowering experience. Topics include: understanding and accepting your unique sexual identity (i.e. coming out to yourself,) coming out to family and friends, coming out at work, dating and intimacy, and other topics that will help you graduate to a healthier and happier sense of self.
If you think you might be lesbian or bisexual, or if you are newly out to yourself and/or in the process of coming out to the people you love, this workshop is a safe and confidential place where you can explore who you truely are.

PARTICIPANT QUOTES
...I"m in a great place right now and I owe it all to the workshop. I can't tell you how grateful I am for what you guys are doing. I feel so much more confident and comfortable with myself, even in matters not relating to coming out. I feel great. Thanks for all that you do.
R.A., Duarte, CA
I am so grateful that I found the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Coming Out Workshop. Like most people, I wanted to come out, but was terribly afraid of so many things, especially that my family would reject me. This results-oriented group was exactly what I needed. They gently pushed me to reach my goals of coming out to my friends and family. Coming out wasn't easy, but the thoughtful advice and genuine support of group moderators and the participants themselves made coming out so much easier.
C.M., Pasadena, CA
I really feel that I have met the goals that I had set for myself. I cannot thank you enough for the time, support and inspiration you have given me. The Center and its facilatators have been a God-send for me. I don't know how I would have done it without you all.
