L.A.C.E. Awards The L.A.C.E. Award (Lesbians and bisexual women Active in Community Empowerment) honors local women in our community who have made significant contributions to the LGBT community. The awards will be presented at An Evening With Women 2009. This prestigious award is given yearly to local lesbians and bisexual women who have distinguished themselves by making particularly significant contributions to the local LGBT community. These women contribute to improving the community through their profession or volunteer work - or both. Past categories have included grassroots activism, public service, professional achievement, spirituality, arts and entertainment, and extraordinary volunteer.
