Becoming a YPC Member The YPC is actively recruiting new members. Prospective members must be referred by an existing member. If you're interested, send an e-mail and introduce yourself. In an effort to reflect the diversity of the community, the YPC is interested in people from many different backgrounds. After you reach out to introduce yourself, we will send you an application with a few questions about your areas of interest and background. We’ll give you a tour of the Center, followed by an interview with another YPC member. YPC is a close-knit and supportive group and seeks members who will take an active role in the group. What are the benefits of membership? You'll get to meet new people and expand your social and professional network, attend fabulous events (some of which you'll help plan), involve more young people in the Center's work, and act as a role model for other young people. YPC members are listed in the Center's annual report, website, and other promotional materials and are featured in the Center newsletter. YPC Advocates Unsure of the commitment of membership? The YPC Advocates Program might be right for you. The YPC Advocates Program is a great way for you to get actively involved in the Center and the YPC. We are looking for motivated individuals, under 40, who are interested in helping the YPC with our outreach and promotion including our hosted events, fundraising and volunteer opportunities. As a YPC Advocate, you’ll receive advance notification of YPC and Center events as well as special promotions and discounts. All it takes is a minimum $35 Center membership. |
